Q: Why the name Dogma Brewery?
A: Because meaning of a word “Dogma” is something which is not doubtable and you can not get it into a question. Dogma is a statment. And at the end it’s really catchy and easy to remember – important part of that “marketing” part of our bussines.
Q: How long have you/the brewery been making beer for?
A: First brew in our brewery was a batch of our bestseller, Hoptopod IPA, on July, 20th of 2016.
Q: What got you into brewing?
A: Love with a beer 🙂 I’m a food technology engineer who graduated on a cathedre of Beer & Malt Technology. After that I was one of the owners of Miners Pub, one of the first craft beer pubs in Belgrade. And from 2015, when I’ve made a deal with my brewing partner and childhood friend, Dogma Brewery was born.
Q: When you’re not brewing what are your hobbies?
A: Beer exploring and golf.
Q: What’s your favourite style of beer?
A: Definitly IPA with all super drinkable varietes!
Q: If you could only have one of your brews for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? (I know it’s like picking a favourite child!)
A: Hoptopod IPA. It is like a picking a favourite child, but this beer has a special place in my life and life of Dogma Brewery. Drinkable, balanced and on other part superhoppy with clean aroma and identity.
Q: You are in a supermarket, in the Beer aisle of course, what would you buy? (your wonderful beer isn’t on sale unfortunately!)
A: Bunch of easy drinking session IPA’s, good Czech pilsner, German Helles and Gose for refreshment! 🙂
Q: What new flavour combination would you love to try/what new hops would you like to work with?
A: As I mentioned earlier, everything around hops – but more on fruity, tropical notes. Of course fruit & hops combo’s are always interesting. Frim new hops, Australia and New Zealand, but also new Slovenian varietes which have our friends.
Q: What brewery you would like to collaborate with and why?
A: We’ve had few realy interesting international collabs like first Serb-American with Flying Dog and one with legendary Italian Birrificio Lambrate. Now we’re planing some new which we’ll keep like a little “hoppy” secret. 🙂 We like to brew collabs with our friends who have similar brewing philosophy – to brew drinkable & tasty beers!
